GOA: GOA TO HOST INTERNATIONAL VETERANS TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP

Goa will be hosts to India’s first International Veterans Championship from December 2 to 6 at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium, Goa University, Taleigao. Titled as Forza International Veteran Cup (FIVC), this first of its kind championship will be organised by Goa Table Tennis Association in association with Forza Sports Management.

The FIVC is organised with complete support from and under the auspices of the Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI), Sports Authority of Goa (SAG), Indian Veteran’s Table Tennis Committee (IVTTC) and Goa Veterans Table Tennis Association.

The Forza Sports Management group have ambitious plans to make this a yearly organised cup in the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Calendar and have chosen Goa in its inaugural edition.. 

Apart from representation from various states from India, the FIVC will have International representation from Russia, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Maldives in the categories of Men’s and Women’s Individual Singles and Team’s in age groups of 40+, 50+, 60+, 65+ and 70+ . The total prize money for the championship will be Rs. 6 Lakh and 50 Thousand including the FIVC Cups for the year 2017.  The inaugural will be held on December 3 (10 am) while finals are scheduled on December 6, 2pm.
