GOA: GOA TO HOST ITS FIRST EVER INTERNATIONAL OPEN GRANDMASTERS CHESS TOURNAMENT IN OCTOBER

The Goa Chess Association will be hosting its first ever Goa International Open Grandmaster Chess Tournament from October 13 to 20 2018 at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Taleigao.

The championship is divided in three different categories with a total prize money of Rs. 34,00,000. Many renowned international grandmasters are expected to participate in the tournament.

Secretary of All India Chess Federation Bharatsingh Chauhan, during his visit to Goa , had announced the tournament in October according to FIDE timetable. The dates of the tournament were announced by secretary of Goa Chess Association Kishor Bandekar through social media.
