BAMBOLIM: The North Goa District Magistrate has ordered the closure of the Goa University road from the All India Radio office to the Oitem Junction on Sunday, February 11th between 0730am—1130am to facilitate the safe and smooth conduct of the 5th Goa Triathlon event. An official note has been issued to the relevant police departments to implement the order by the district magistrate a few days ago.
The 5th Goa Triathlon has attracted the participation of over 450 Triathletes from across India and overseas and evinced a lot of interest in the sporting fraternity. While the Duathlon ( running-cycling) will begin at 6am on Sunday, the super-sprint Triathlon will start at 715am from the Bambolim beach and the Olympic distance Triathlon will start at 730am from the same beach.
