PANAJI (GOA): Tanisha Crasto and Lydia Barreto of Goa clinched Under 15 Girls Doubles Silver medal at the All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament, 2017, which concluded on August 30 at Jaipur, Rajasthan.
Tanisha also emerged Bronze medal winner in the U-15 Girls singles category.
Meanwhile, in U-15 Girls Singles, Tanisha knocked out Kaivalya Lakshmi Yadavalli [8 seed] 21-15, 21-12 in the pre-quarters, followed by a 21-14, 21-15 win over Adya Bhargava [14] in the quarters. She lost to eventual winner Kriti Bharadwaj [6] 24-22, 21-12 in the semis.
In U-15 Girls Doubles, Tanisha and Lydia beat Tasnim Mir / Anupama Upadhyaya 21-17, 21-19 in the semis. In the finals, the Goan pair went down to top seeds Kriti Bharadwaj / Tanya Hemanth 21-16, 21-10.
