GOA: GOVT EMPLOYEES WARNED FROM AGITATING AGAINST GOVERNMENT POLICIES

Coming down heavily on the government servants involving into agitations against Government, the State Vigilance department has warned of disciplinary action against all those employees for their conduct.

Director Vigilance Sanjeev Dessai has issued a circular in this regard to all the heads of the department cautioning the servants from getting themselves involved in any agitation or campaigns which amounts to criticism of government under Central Civic Service (Conduct) (CCS) Rule 1964.

“As per the recent reports, it is noticed that a number of government servants are getting involved in agitations or campaigns and signing of petitions on issues which are against policies of the government,” Dessai said in the circular which is issued last week. 

He said that such conduct of government servants attracts the prohibition of Rule 9 of CCS (conduct) Rule 1964.

 “Accordingly, it is imperative that all government servants adhere to the provisions of the CCS (conduct) Rules scrupulously as a violation of the same will attract disciplinary action,” Dessai said.
