GOA: INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATED AT BETUL FORT

BETUL (GOA): The ‘History Lovers Group’ along with Betul Villagers, celebrated the 70th Independence Day at Betul Fort with a flag hoisting event. Recently, the History Lovers Group members Dr Sparsh Kudchadkar, Raghavendra Bhujle, Rohan Bandekar along with MLA Babu Kavlekar, Delfy Barbosa (Sarpanch), Seby Fernandes (Panch) and Tato Kerkar (Panch) met CM Manohar Parrikar to discuss about restoration of Betul Fort, for which the CM gave a positive assurance of starting the process of notifying and restoring the fort.
Fr Almeida, the parish priest of Betul Fort, spoke on the importance of celebrating the Independence Day. Meanwhile, sarpanch of Betul village, Delfy Barbosa spoke on working alongside the villagers, for the development of Betul. Dr Sparsh Kudchadkar appreciated the Betul villagers for regularly taking their valuable time on keeping the Betul Fort heritage alive.
