Panaji (Goa) The state turned into a spiritual mode suddenly switching from the election fever. Thousands of homes in the State brought idol of Lord Ganesh at their place to worship him. It’s a Chovoth or Ganesh Chaturthi.

As we type this news, Idols were being worshipped in different households while many were still waiting for ‘Bhatmam’ to arrive. The Idols are either brought earlier night or today in the morning.

The festival has been most celebrated in Goa and Konkan region along with other parts of Maharashtra.

It is also a home coming for many. That is why the cities wear deserted look while villages are abuzz with the people.
