JMFC Vaishali Lotlikar has issued a fresh notice directing the Crime Branch to submit on 6th April a status report of the investigation into the last November 27th trespass and attack on Adv. Aires Rodrigues.

 

The directions by the JMFC came after the Crime Branch officials failed to appear as directed by the Court and Adv. Rodrigues submitting to the Court that the politically very influential accused who attacked him were being shielded by the Police.

 

It may be recalled that based on the complaint filed by Adv. Rodrigues the Old Goa Police on 28th November last year registered an F.I.R under Sections 452, 341,506,336, 323 read with 34 of Indian Penal Code against Swapnil Dhargalkar, Shreha Dhargalkar and two others for having trespassed and attacked Adv. Rodrigues in his office at Ribandar. The investigation was later transferred to the Crime Branch.

 

Stating that the November 27th attack on him at his office by Siolim based Swapnil Dhargalkar, Shreha Dhargalkar and two others was at the instance of State Fisheries Minister Vinod Paliencar, Adv. Rodrigues has sought that the Court monitor the investigation as the accused who attacked him are politically very connected.
