Panaji (Goa): The video that went viral has finally caught attention of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar. Parrikar today asked State Police Chief to inquire into a video showing an unidentified person boasting of his closeness to the chief minister’s office (CMO) in a bid to save himself from being fined by a traffic police.
The Chief Minister has issued directions to Director General of Police Muktesh Chandar asking him to inquire into the incident. The video went viral after it was circulated on a social media last week.
“Chief Minister has directed the DGP to investigate the matter involving an unknown person using CMO name frivolously to evade getting booked by traffic police,” CMO has said.
He said “CM has reacted after video went viral on social media.”
The video which was reportedly shot on a road in South Goa shows middle-aged man bragging about his contacts in CMO when he is stopped by a traffic police for riding a two-wheeler without wearing helmet.
The video was being circulated for over a week on various social medias, which finally grabbed attention of the chief minister.
