Margao (Goa) Additional District Court in Margao granted anticipatory bail to former stourism minister Fransisco MicKky Pacheco who is booked for threatening and endangering life of a watersports operator at Utorda beach in South Goa.
The additional district and sessions court in Margao granted anticipatory bail to Pacheco who is booked by Verna police for threatening and endangering life of one Melroy D’Souza, a watersports operator.
The judge Sayonara Lad granted Pacheco the bail on a bond of Rs20,000 and a surety in like amount.
“He has also been barred from visiting his hometown of Betalbhatim in South Goa for 15 days and Utorda village for 60 days,” advocate Carlose Alvares representing Pacheco told reporters.
The former NCP minister has been asked to report to the police station for next five days during the course of the investigation.
On March 12, Fanny D’Souza, mother of Melroy, had filed a formal police complaint at Verna police station against alleging that Pacheco had driven his car on the beach at Consua-Utorda and damaged her son’s water sports accessories.
He was also booked for threatening Melroy on the beach.
