GOA: NOT POSSIBLE TO GIVE MORE THAN 2000 JOBS IN A YEAR; SAYS CM

Panaji (Goa): In a major submission, Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today said that Government cannot provide more than 2000-2500 jobs to youths in a year.

Parrikar has urged youths to venture into entrepreneurship by taking advantage of various schemes like that of Chief Ministers Rojgar Yojana (CMRY).

“I request our MLAs to encourage youths in their respective constituencies to avail the benefits of CMRY scheme. Every Member can easily tap the entrepreneurship skills of around 100 youth which will lead to employment to around 2000 people,” he said.

“It is not possible to give more than 2000-2500 jobs in government sector every year,” he admitted.

Chief Minister was speaking while inaugurating the EDC South Goa Branch today morning.
