Panaji (Goa): The maiden edition of Neutral Fest will have world acclaimed social reformist and Padma Shree Award winner Dr Prakash Baba Amte, addressing the gathering on November 17 at 5 p.m. in Hotel Taj Vivanta.

The Neutral View Group would be celebrating its first anniversary by hosting the ‘Neutral Fest’, an event which would be a regular feature on the social calendar of Goa henceforth.

To begin with, the fest will host Padma Shree Prakash Amte who has been working with the downtrodden Adivasi community since 1974. He has also been working in the field of conservation and wildlife setting an example for the world.

During the festival, he would be accompanied by his wife Dr Mandakini Amte, both of whom were bestowed Magsaysay Award for community leadership in the year 2008 for their philanthropic work in the form of Lok Biradari Prakalp amongst Madia Gonds in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra and neighbouring States of Telangana and Madhya Pradesh.

The Neutral View media group which has English fortnightly ‘The Neutral View’, Marathi-Malwani fortnightly ‘Yeva Kokanat’ and website www.theneutralview.com has been emerging as one of the fastest growing media house in the country with its presence in Goa, Konkan, Pune and Mumbai.

The group is also hosting a daily show on Goa’s leading GCTV channel tagged as ‘Goa@9’ where the newsmakers from across the State discuss the issues that concern the common people.

The journey of this media house began with a 16-page fortnightly, a year ago, which has now blossomed into 32-pages edition touching the crucial issues of the State and nation.

The website has been updating latest news from Goa, Konkan, Pune and Mumbai on hourly basis making it as the breaking news venture. With more than 10,000 hits every day, the website has crossed half a million viewership mark within six months and all set to touch one million milestone in next couple of months.

Yeva Kokanat has become a name to reckon with in Konkan region since its launching during Ganesh Chaturthi. The fortnightly aims to trigger reverse migration in this region, which has lost its generations to the urbanization and employment opportunities in Mumbai.

The group has already announced its plan to launch online Radio Station in Konkan besides several other Editions across Maharashtra and Goa.
