GOA: PANAJI BLOCK CONGRESS RESOLVED TO FIGHT FOR MINIMUM WATER TO THE CONSTITUENCY

Panaji (Goa) Panaji  Block congress has resolved to fight for minimum 10hrs of water supply to capital city and to take unemployment problems of Panjim youth. This was decided at Panjim Block Congress Committee meeting held under the chairmanship of All India Congress Committee Secretary Girish Chodankar  at Panaji.

 

Meeting discussed the water problem at length  and decided to support peoples fight forward  with emphasis on providing Water supply of minimum 10hrs to all Panaji residents which is a basic necessity.

 

The meeting also discussed that the  BJP which had promising in all its manifesto to provide 24 X 7 water supply and decided to force the government to supply  at least 10 hours of water supply  if not 24 hours and for this purpose we will do everything including going and meeting the concern officers in respective departments dealing and exerting pressure on government on this important issues.

 

Unemployment is a huge problem , the congress members  felt that unemployment is a big concern especially the parents are having Sleepless Nights as their educated children are growing and crossing even the age of recruitment .

 

The Block will take these peoples issues and to see how these issues can be resolved on priority, Girish expressed his keen desire to go and meet the people of panaji to thank them for their support in the recently held by-polls in panaji in line with his promise to adopt Panaji and resolve to fight for panjikars

 

Till water supply to residents is resolved, the government should bear cost of water tankers since many Panjim residents are spending huge money on water tankers demanded the Block.

 

Block also demanded with Govt That PWD water and ground water should be tested and analysed for potability or for purposes of safe drinking.

 

Block also decided to interact with the people’s through Melava to discuss people’s problems. Prominent block members took part in discussions include Seby Menezes, Muktamala Fondvekar, Edger Gasper, Prabha Mhambrey ,Sanjay Sarmalkar, Hinesh Kubal, Pratibha Borkar Dhage, , Uddav Mulgaonkar,Dominic Fernandes, Rosario Fernandes, Nasir Sheikh, Shripad Dhond and others.
