Panaji (Goa) Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today said that he has asked police department to crack down on late night rave parties and also act against the sale of narcotics in the state.
“Late night rave parties are illegal and they are one of the areas where the use of drugs is extensive. The rave parties which happens on the beach or remote areas should be stopped immediately,” Parrikar told reporters after unfurling the national flag in Panaji on Independence Day.
Parrikar said that “the complexity of drugs has increase and there are many drugs which cannot be identified so easily. “That is one challenge that police are facing. At the same time I feel that the action should be taken against drugs based on the information. If there are late night parties going then police should know that there may be some utilisation of drugs somewhere if not at the venue,” he said.
