GOA: POLICY TO SHIFT OFF SHORE CASINOS TO BE ANNOUNCED IN A WEEK: CM

Panaji (Goa) Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today assured the House to announce the policy to shift off shore casinos out of River Mandovi in a week.

Parrikar was talking on the floor of the House during ongoing State Legislative Assembly session which will culminate today.

“In next one week, we will declare the policy to shift the casinos out of River Mandovi,” the chief minister assured the House.

 “We have already drafted the policy fixing the time frame to remove casinos from the River,” said Parrikar.

He said that the casinos would be shifted out of the River “within stipulated time frame.”

The chief minister recalled that it was a Congress party that allowed off shore casinos in the rivers of the State.
