GOA: PRATAPSINH RANE SAYS I WANTED TO TAKE IT EASY LAST TIME

Panaji (Goa) It is confirmed that Pratapsinh Rane does not want to contest next assembly election.
“Last time also I had decided that I will not contest the assembly election. I wanted to take it easy,” he said.
“I should also be able to work. I have done enough of social work during my long tenure. I will be completing 50 years of my public life by the time the current term of assembly ends,” Rane said.
The Congress leader has served as the chief minister of Goa six times — from 1980 to 1985, 1985 to 1989, for three months in 1990, from 1994 to 1999, a month in 2005 and finally in 2005–07.
