GOA: RAVI NAIK, SAIFULLA KHAN BEING QUESTIONED BY POLICE FOR POLL CODE VIOLATION AT VALPOI, FIR YET TO BE LODGED

Panaji (Goa) The polling officials are currently questioning Congress legislator Ravi Naik and another party leader Saifulla Khan for violation of code of conduct.
The complaint has been received by Returning Officer that both were campaining in Valpoi constituency this evening despite ban on doing same by the election commission.
A vehicle which was used by them has also been detained. Returning officer Paresh Parab confirmed that they have received the complaint which was forwarded to the police for further action.
Eye witnesses claimed that Naik and Khan were both being questioned while Innova car which was allegedly being used by Naik and Khan was detained by police.
Police Inspector Shivram Vaigankar said that the investigations are on and they are yet to file the formal FIR in the matter.
