GOA: SAVERA NGO WANTS CRIME BRANCH TO INVESTIGATE CASE AGAINST AIRES RODRIGUES

Panaji (Goa) Not happy with the investigations conducted by Anjuna police station in the sexual harassment case filed against social activist Aires Rodrigues, NGO Savera today demanded that it should be handed over to Crime Branch.

Savera Chief Tara Kerkar held a press conference in Panaji today demanding that the case which is being investigated by Anjuna Police should be probed by Crime branch.

“Anjuna police are yet to arrest Aires Rodrigues. They are not doing the investigation properly. The case should be handed over to the Crime Branch,” Kerkar demanded.

She said that police were trying to hush up the case against woman, who has been harassed by the social activist.

Kerkar also questioned act of Old Goa police to take Aires for medical treatment escorted by a plain cloth policemen. She demanded sacking of old Goa police inspector Ashish Shirodkar for helping Aires.
