Porvorim (Goa) BJP leader and Deputy Speaker Michael Lobo today told the State Legislative assembly that Goa government should take action against people who are giving hate speeches.
“We should set a precedent. An FIR should be filed against anyone giving hate speeches in the State. They must be called to the police headquarters,” Lobo said participating in the discussion on the motion of thanks to State Governor.
Recalling the speech by Sadhvi Saraswati who had said that beef eaters should be hanged, the legislator questioned why do people like Sadhvi come to Goa and make such statement.
“Police should act against her, or someone else will come and say something else. Who all would we be able to stop,” he said.
Sadhvi, participating in All India Hindu Convention, had said that those who eat beef should be hanged.
Lobo said such type of people should be banned from entering Goa.
“We have to have full control of all these things. We should not allow this. Those who want to disturb Goa, they have no place here,” he added.
