GOA SESSION: GOOD NEWS FOR CONTRACT LABOURERS, PARRIKAR ASSURES A POLICY TO END THEIR

Porvorim (Goa) Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today assured the House that the policy would be drafted within four months to look into the regularization of workers who are on contract basis.
He said that all the MLAs would be taken into confidence once draft is ready. Parrikar said the policy would be in place by April 01 next year. After that no one would be taken on contract basis. He said the age criteria would also be relaxed. This will help more than 90 per cent of the workers on contract basis.
