Panaji (Goa) Shiv Sena Spokesperson Jitesh Kamat alleged fraud and corruption in the process and reappointment of Assistant Theatre Manager in Kala Academy. 

This is what Kamat said in a press conference

Mr. Santosh Korgaokar joined Kala Academy as Assistant Theatre Manager on 1st March 1989 and took voluntary retirement under VRS 31st May 2005 availing all the retirement benefits including pension. On his retirement, Kala Academy published advertisement inviting candidates for an interview process for the post vacated by Korgaokar. Having retired from the post, Mr Korgaokar again applied as a fresh candidate. Then member of Selection Committee Mr. Pratapsingh Rane, who was also The Chairman and Then Vice Chairman Mr. Jitendra Deshprabhu allowed Korgaokar to participate in the interview process having known the fact of his retirement. Mr. Korgaokar was reappointed on his same designation of ATM on 1st February 2006 by even relaxing the age limit which was desirable eligibility for the post. From then till today he has been enjoying his salary as regular staff along with pension as a pensioner. Also he had taken all VRS benefits, informed Mr. Kamat. Further, Mr. Kamat has expressed doubt of high level corruption and demanded prompt inquiry with immediate suspension of Mr. Korgaokar with other officers involved and members of Selection Committee including Chairman shall be booked for this reappointment scam and corruption. Kamat informed that complaint will be lodged with KA, Ministry of Art & Culture, CM, Vigilance and ACB. Kamat suspects such fraudulent activities in other government organizations too.
