Panaji (Goa) Goa Shiv Sena Vice President Jitesh Kamat submitted memorandum demanding scrapping of Nationalisation of six rivers of Goa to Party National President Uddhav Thakrey and MP Sanjay Raut along with Goa Coordinator Jeevan Kamat, Vice Coordinator Adesh Parab, State President Shivprasad Joshi, Vice President Rakhi Prabhudessai Naik, North District President Kishor Rao, South District President Dattaprasad Sangekar, Media Coordinator Madhav Virdikar, Vinay Talekar and other state committee members.
Thakrey along with MP Raut discussed the issue with the state office bearers and has assured to take up the issue to central. He opined that in democracy it is an injustice to people to impose any project forcefully when majority of people have opposed it through Gramsabhas of more than 100 Village Panchyats out of 189 till date. He told that being an artist himself he loves Goa for its natural scenic beauty and of opinion that no such development should be permitted in Goa which is harmful to its natural beauty and beautiful people of Goa. Further he advised Sena leaders that don’t work for sake of elections but keep serving the society through out, than majority of the people with definitely stand with us. He also stated that they will be extending every type of help to strengthen the party in Goa as the tiny state is dear one to his heart and Maharashtra has always treated Goa as its younger brother.
Member of Parliament and Observer for Goa Shri. Sanjay Raut has assured to raise this issue of Nationalisation of River at central. He said that he will not allow to let go the future of Goa in the hands of corporates. Further opined that the dictatorial working style will not be tolerated and being a part of central Government Sena has been always pinching the Government incase of wrong doings.
