PANAJI (GOA)
Super smashers emerged champions of the Senior Badminton festival League championship event organised by Panjim Smashers Club in collaboration with Goa Badminton Association and the Sports Authority of Goa, at Indoor stadium, Campal. Eight teams from across Goa competed in the championship which was played in a League format, featuring 7 doubles matches in each Tie. Sanquelim Shuttlers emerged runners-up while Panjim Panthers and PBC Warriors had to settle for the third place spots. The Challenger’s Trophy for Promising Team was won by South Swingers Team, comprising of players from Quepem, Cuncolim and Canacona centres. GBA members Sandeep Heble, Luciano Soares, Laxmikant Kenaudekar, Deelip Halarnkar, Aniket Shenai and organising Club officials Chinmay Kamat (President), Shashank Desai (Secretary) and Rahul Chandrashekar graced the championship closing.
