GOA: THREE ALLEGED DRUG DEALERS CHARGE-SHEETED BY CRIME BRANCH

Panaji (Goa) Goa police on Monday filed charge-sheets against three people including a British national who were arrested in the March this year busting organized racket pushing drugs in the State.

Three different charge-sheets were filed before District and Sessions Court in Panaji by Anti Narcotics Cell of Goa Crime Branch which had investigated these cases.

“British national David Johnson and two others including Yusuf Mohammad from Chennai and Ganesh Pondir from Himachal Pradesh are charged by police under Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act,” a senior crime branch official said.

In March, ANC had arrested Yusuf Mohammad at Anjuna beach village for allegedly peddling the drugs. The police during the search had found chemical drugs including methamphetamine and LSD from him.

His interrogation had led the police to  Johnson whose arrest also resulted in seizure of banned chemical substance like MDMA and Ecstasy tablets.

As the investigation continued, the police got the information about third accused Ganesh Pondir who was found with charas at Arambol beach.
