Panjim (Goa): GTDC officials Gavin Dias, and Deepak Narvekar, accorded a royal welcome to the passengers that arrived in the cruise vessel by name ‘Azamara Journey’ at the Mormugao Port Trust, Goa Harbor, Vasco which was the last cruise vessel to conclude the cruise tourism season in the state. “Azamara Journey” is owned and operated by Azamara Club Cruises.
The cruise vessel docked at the Mormugao Port, Goa at 07.00 am and the passengers were received with a courteous welcome by King Momo as a surprise to the disembarking cruise passengers along with the entourage of dancers, entertainers and hostess.
A total of 672 passengers were on board along with 393 crew members. A majority of the passengers were of UK nationality with a total number of 257 passengers.
They were received with flowers and pleasant greetings while live performances of Goan folk dances to the live melodic folk songs were played, besides the brass band playing live music to the enjoyment and nostalgia of the guests.
Brochures, leaflets, Maps giving detailed information of Goa were distributed to the passengers along with branded writing pens, Goa caps etc. The Goa tourism information officers were on the go to provide all the required information to the passengers. Refreshing kokum drinks were also served to the guests.
After a well spent day on sightseeing tours, the passengers left the shores of Goa for their next destination.
