GOA: UNION MINISTER SHRIPAD NAIK REVIEWS DEVELOPMENT WORKS UNDER SANSAD ADARSH GRAM YOJANA

Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Shripad Naik called a review meeting of the development work of the village Ibrampur, which was adopted under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. He reviewed the ongoing works of different departments under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana.

Senior officials of the Department of Agriculture, Public Works Department, Health Department, Education Department, Rural Development Department, Women and Child Welfare Department, Water Resources, Directorate of Arts and Culture, Food and Drug Administration, Planning and Statistics Department, Social Welfare and Transport Department were present. Shripad Naik said that it is very important to balance public grievances and development.

 Naik said at the time of implementing development plans, both the technical and practical side should be taken into consideration. There is no dearth of funds, he added. Minister instructed Agriculture Department and Electricity Department to prepare a project report at the earliest to release the funds. Shri Naik thanked villagers for their co-operation in the development work. Society’s contribution is equally important in the process of development, he said.  Shri Naik expressed displeasure over the work of Transport Department and Electricity Department. Officials from Transport Department informed that soon they are installing GPS system in public transport buses.   The Department of Planning and Statistics ready to hold a special camp to enrol Aadhaar card. Shri Naik instructed officers to pay special attention towards Ladli Laxmi beneficiaries from the Ibrampur village.
