GOA UNIVERSITY STUDENT TO REPRESENT AFGHANISTAN AT ASIAN GAMES IN BADMINTON

Sayed Imran Miri, a student of Goa University, will represent Afghanistan at the upcoming Asian Games Badminton championships in Jakarta.
 
Imran, who is an Afghan National champion, has been regularly featuring for his country at the highest international levels. He is presently pursuing higher studies in Goa in the UGC Centre for Latin American and International studies.
 
“It is nice to see Badminton growing across the globe and players from Afghanistan and other such countries which do not have a strong badminton set-up rising up. Last many days, Imran has been training and practicing along with our men’s state player Parteek Mahajan and few other Goa ranked players. He has good potential and is putting in lot of hard work. We wish him good luck in the championship,” the Goa Badminton Association Secretary Sandeep Heble noted in his message
