GOA: WASTE DISPOSAL MACHINE ‘BLACK HOLE’ RECEIVES GREEN SIGNAL FROM GOVT

The has finally given a go-ahead to set up ‘Black Hole’- a US patented waste disposal machine, which operates on plasma heat technology, after spending nearly Rs. 10 crore on the bio-remediation of the Sonsodo waste dump yard last year.

TCP minister Vijai Sardesai said the government has in principle agreed to go for the new technology, which has received the go-ahead signal from the Pollution Control Board as well. Sardesai also said that he has had discussions with the representatives of the company, who are willing to set up the Black Hole. “The company is ready to carry out treatment of the waste free of cost for first 15 days,” said Sardesai.

The Black Hole machine can be installed within a space admeasuring 1000 sq ft to 2000 sq ft, and comes in a compact form, ranging from 5 tons to 200 tons.
