Goa’s Art and Culture Minister Govind Gawade said the Cabinet Advisory Committee (CAC), formed to guide the state administration in absence of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, is “not in a position to handle the situation”.

Parrikar, before leaving for his treatment to the US, in the first week of March, had informed Governor Mridula Sinha about the interim arrangement of CAC. The committee comprises of TCP minister Vijai Sardesai of the Goa Forward Party, Urban Development minister Francis D’Souza of the BJP and PWD minister  Sudin Dhavalikar of the MGP.

Gawade said that, “it is obvious that we are feeling his absence.”  “The Cabinet Advisory Committee is not in a position to handle the situation,” he added. Gawade said the situation would be back to normal only after Parrikar returned and took over the reins of the government.
