Goa’s Tanisha Crasto along with Aditi Bhatt from Uttarakhand have made it three in a row this season by winning the Girls Doubles (U19) title at the Yonex-Sunrise All India Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2018 held at Chandigarh.

In the quarterfinals, they knocked out top seeds Shruti Mishra / Simran Singhi 21-16, 21-16 followed by a 21-17, 15-21, 21-15 win over fourth seeds Sahithi Bandi / Thanushree R.in the semi-finals.

 

In the finals, they registered a well-deserved 24-22, 21-13 win over Preethi K. and Priya Devi Konjengbam to win Gold in the championship which is selection tournament for the BWF World Junior Badminton Championships to be held at Canada in November, 2018.
