Kamlesh Solanki, Winner of Rubaru Mr. India is all set to rock the fashion world, Team TNV caught up with this promising model to know about his preparation for the pageant and his future plans
Q1. First of all many congratulations to you for winning the Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India 2018 (2nd Runner up) title. How does it feel?
Answer: Thank you so much for these lovely wishes. Winning the Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India 2018 (2nd runner up) title was indeed like a dream come true moment for me. I feel truly blessed and honoured to have won this prestigious title.
Q2. What was your reaction when the announced your name at the grand finale of the Audi Goa Rubaru Mister India 2018 pageant in Goa?
Answer: I am always pretty confident and determined about making it. When they announced my name, I was a bit surprised though. It took a few moments for me to believe it and the next moment I was receiving the title. That was a really memorable moment for me.
Q3. How does it feel to get associated and also becoming the face of India’s biggest and oldest surviving annual male pageant?
Answer: I always wanted to be a part of Rubaru Mister India pageant and finally it happened this year. It feels really great to get associated with an organization that has been in the industry for a long time. It has been fifteen years that the organization (Rubaru Group) has been running this prominent event (Rubaru Mister India) that gives the aspiring individuals and models to show their talents. For some its works as a launch pad to the glitzy and glamorous world of modelling and showbiz and to some it turns out to be a whole new life changing experience that they get after entering the modelling industry. I feel truly honoured and blessed to be the face of India’s foremost and biggest annual male pageant.
Q4. How has your journey been so far with the Rubaru Mister India Organization?
Answer: The journey has been really awesome since the day 1. I got the opportunity to meet so many wonderful and influential people and had so many memorable moments till now. I am really looking for to create great memories that I could cherish for rest of my life.
Q5. What are the responsibilities that come with this prestigious title and how hard it is to fulfilthose responsibilities and also to live up to the expectations that have been set on you?
Answer: Once you become a Mister India you become an icon for the Indian youth. Same has been my case. I personally try to impart a positive impact on people I meet. I try to be a figure to which a regular next-door Indian guy could relate to, as I was also the same prior to winning this title. Other than that, you have to shoulder the responsibility of representing the organization and the Rubaru Mister India pageant, what it stands for and what are qualities that are required to be a Rubaru Mister India. When representing India at an international platform, you have to shoulder the crucial responsibility of representing your nation, its values, its culture, and its people of course. So, all in all, it is a very serious and important role that one needs to play. Also, while doing so one needs to embrace his individuality and should never lose his personality or identity at the same time.
Q6. This year the Rubaru Mister India pageant celebrated their fifteenth anniversary and you are thefifteenth Rubaru Mister India titleholder. How do you feel about that?
Answer: It was indeed an honour for me to get associated with the Rubaru Mister India Organization and that even at the time when it was their fifteenth anniversary. The pageant has been happening in India for 15 years and over the years, the pageant has given some of the finest and very talented winners to India who have brought laurels and pride to the nation. To join the league amongst these very wonderful men is indeed a matter of huge pride for me.
Q7. What do you think are the qualities that are required to be a Mr India?
Answer: One needs to be humble, polite, well-spoken and disciplined. These are just a few of the many qualities that a man must have to be a Rubaru Mister India. The pageant is not about the man with the best body or the man who has the most handsome face. It is more about a man who could represent a 21st century Indian gentleman, who is sophisticated, confident and treats everyone with respect. Good looks and great body comes into play after that. Of course it is a pageant and these superficial qualities are required however with these superficial qualities one must have a great and likeable personality.
Q8. Your biggest support in life.
Answer: I would say my parents. They are not only the biggest support in life but they are my greatest strength as well. Apart from my parents the person who is really close to my heart is my best friend, Naresh Patel, who has supported me in every situation, be it good or bad. Love you Macha.

Answer: Good, better, best, never let it rest until your good is better and your better is best.
