Panaji (GOA) The Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) will be meeting on Wednesday to discuss the preparedness and strengthen party’s campaign for the upcoming by-election for Panjim and Valpoi assembly constituencies.
The by-elections are schedule to take place on August 23.
The meeting chaired by GPCC president Shantaram Naik will be attended by the Congress state executive members, legislative members, block presidents and other office bearers.
“The meeting agenda is the by-election. We will discuss about the party’s preparation and other issues related to the assembly seats,” Naik told reporters.
He said strategies would be worked out to strengthen party’s campaign and corner BJP.
The meeting will commence at 10.00am at the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI).
Congress has fielded Girish Chodankar against Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar in Panjim and Roy Naik against the Health Minister Vishwajit Rane in Valpoi.
