GSIDC – MORTH SIGNS MOU TO DEVELOP GREEN CORRIDOR ACROSS NH

Panaji (Goa)  The Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) today signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Union Ministry for Road Transport and Highways, to develop green corridor along the National Highway stretch.

The MOU was signed in presence of Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari and Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.  The relevant documents were exchanged between Managing Director of GSIDC Srinet Kothwale and Ministry of Road Transport Singh.

The project to develop the green corridors with model plantation and beautification on the National Highway stretch passing through Goa is costing Rs 100 crore and will be funded by the Union Ministry.

 GSIDC, the executing agency, will involve local expertise and consult interested Goans to make Goa highways green by planting native fruit / flower bearing plants.
