GTDC’s 4th Sunday Monsoon Trek for the season is all set to take off to Hukyachi Khadi on Sunday, July 8.
This small seasonal cascade is located near Kumthad village, just 10 kms off Valpoi in Sattari taluka of Goa. On arrival at Sanvorde, trekkers will have to walk for approximately 4.5 kms through rubber plantations, semi-forested areas, running rivulets, enjoy a fun-filled river crossing experience and reach Hukyachi Khadi.
The locale gives one an opportunity to chill out, explore the forests or simply enjoy the cascade. The return journey is from another route equally enriching and rejuvenating.
The trekking expedition is open to all especially those with a spirit for adventure and nature lovers.
Transport arrangements have been made from Mapusa and Margao at 7.30 a.m. and from Panaji at 8.30 a.m. Pick up arrangements from Old Goa, Banastari and Sakhali will also be available.
Interested trekkers are requested to carry along an extra pair of clothes, rainwear, trekking shoes, drinking water, snacks and binoculars. No smoking and consumption of alcohol will be permitted.
The charges for the trek including lunch Rs. 800/- per person only.
Please note: The expedition is not recommended for those who are physically unfit.
