Calangute (Goa): Calangute police have arrested one Louis Rodrigues a resident of Candolim for possession of heroin worth Rs 13,000, during a raid conducted at mid-night on May 23.

PI Jivba Dalvi had received a tip-off that the accused person will come to sell drugs at Candolim Football ground on Tuesday night. Accordingly PI Jivba Dalvi formed a team under PSI Sitaram Malik, PSI Videsh Pilgaonkar, Constable Vidyanand Amonkar, Sameer Sawant and Samir Naik.

The accused is said to be operating boat rides in the tourist area. PSI Sitaram Malik is further investigating the case under the supervision of PI Jivba Dalvi.
