HIMACHAL PRADESH TOURIST DROWNS AT CANDOLIM

Calangute  (Goa): A young tourist holidaying in Goa, along with his bunch of friends drowned at Candolim beach today.
Calangute police have registered a case of unnatural death after the Himachal Pradesh native Ashtray Dutta, aged 27 years drowned early this morning.
The deceased had come down to Goa for vacation along with  friends and were staying in hotel near to the Candolim beach.
“At around 3:30am, he slong with three male friends entered into the waters while the women friends stayed back. Dutta was pulled dep inside through strong underwater currents. His friends made a futile search for him and inforced the police thereafter,” police inspector Jivba Dalvi said.
The police also tried to search for Dutta but in vain. His body was later in the morning at around 8 am was washed ashore. The family of the deceased has been informed about the same, Dalvi said.
