PANAJI (GOA) “The day I feel I am not worth to stay in politics anymore, without even thinking for a second I will quit and seat at home,” Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar announced today.
“My entry into it was not as per my wish. When I entered, I had assured that I will leave politics in ten years. But unfortunately this promise I had given to my wife who left me before I completed ten years in politics and hence there was no obligation to fulfill the promise,” Parrikar said as he turned emotional during an live interview.
“But the day I feel I am not worth to stay in politics anymore, without even thinking for a second I will quit and seat at home,” Chief Minister.
Parrikar, however, assured that he will not go anywhere without completing his ongoing tenure as Chief Minister.
He spoke in presence of his coalition partners, who too attended the event.
“I was never interested to leave my tenure half way,” he said while explaining how on different occasion owing to different reason he could not complete his term as Chief Minister in last three tenure.
“But this time I will not go anywhere without completing the term …there is no danger to government,” Parrikar added.
