When and how did you begin modelling? Were you studying or working before then?

I haven’t started modelling professionally but I began modelling ever since I was 10 years old. In the sense that I always loved getting my photographs clicked and posing so I  started back then. I was studying previously say about 2 years ago and now I am working in the merchant navy as second in command navigating officer.

Why modelling when you could have settled in for a more stable permanent career?

As I have mentioned earlier about my love for getting my photographs clicked and posing as a model, it has always been my hobby. And as a wise man once said,’’ if your hobby becomes your profession then your work doesn’t seem like work’’. I have already settled in for a more stable and permanent career due to family commitments but deep down l always feel that I am missing out on something that makes me happy and brings a smile on my face and as another wise man once had said,’’ nothing you wear is more important than wearing your smile’’, I think is the pursuit of any sucessful career you have chosen.

Tell me about your first assignment. if any How did it happen? What was the experience like (make this answer as personal as possible)

I haven’t done any assignments yet, but I hope it happens soon and then I will definitely share the experience with all.

What do you feel makes you a good model? Your face? Your body? Your attitude? As opposed to others?

Each person is gifted by the almighty with something or the other; one would be having a very good face while other would be having a very good body type. So face and body do play a key role in modelling but the most important thing is attitude. If I win the pageant or if it gets me popularity, then too I would still follow the philosophy of aiming for the sky while keeping my feet grounded.

Why Rubaru Mr. india when there are so many local pagents that happen ?

As I mentioned before, I am in the Merchant navy so I work on ships for a while and then come back home. I prefer Rubaru Mr. India because it is being hosted when I am home and ready. I wouldn’t mind going for local pageants as well but now that I have worked hard with each passing day, why not try for something bigger.

Did Mr. India just happen to you along the way – or were you preparing to take part in the pagean.t?

It happened to come along my way and I was also preparing to take part in it but was not sure as to when is it going to take place, so I guess luck favoured me this time.

Tell us about how you train for it. What is the regimen like? What are the challenges involved?

I haven’t trained for it; I have trained myself for a better version of me for my vision of better tomorrow. I take lot of care of my health and fitness. I train five times a week which involves functional as well as strength training and always eating clean except for the weekends where I unleash the beast within me who savour all the delicious things missed for those 5 days of clean eating. I also practice yoga, just started though, but it certainly have made me feel completely tranquil. Everything is a challenge in itself while staying away from delicious food, being the biggest.

What makes you feel you should be the chosen one? What’s different about you as a contestant?

I can’t answer the question why should I be the chosen one because I do not reply to something that is not in my hands if God wishes and concerned authorities think that I am capable, I will be chosen and will be highly obliged. Now what is different in me as a contestant, I think majority of the people who have participated have done some modelling assignments or the other but this is going to be my very first step so I guess that would make me different from others.

How will winning the Mr. India pageant will be going to affect your life?

As I have mentioned, this is going to be my first pageant and if I win I would be as happy as a lark, and it will immensely be affecting my life in a way that I work harder and harder with each passing day for a better me and a better tomorrow.

What are your views and thoughts for the cause camping of Save girl child, how you will educate to stop this in our country?

Recently, I have seen this movie of Mr. Akshay Kumar where he says “ARMY STRONG WEAPON STRONG COUNTRY NO STRONG , MOTHER STRONG SISTER STRONG WIFE STRONG THEN COUNTRY STRONG” and I completely agree because whatever I am today is because of my parents and especially my mother. Also, I am pretty much sure that a lot more people are being sculpted by their mothers and sisters into a better person in terms of humanity is concerned with each passing day. Women do not become women all of a sudden, they are once a little girl child, so if we save a girl child of today, we save women of tomorrow. Education is one such thing that everyone doesn’t have the fortune to get but now-a-days to make people understand things, it is not necessary for them to be educated. These days, even a illiterate knows how to use a mobile phone and thanks to technology that we can now make people understand and educate better by the means of social media, radios, movies, videos, posters etc., and for this cause, I am going to do whatever best I can. And I believe, if every other person also pledges to do the same to save a girl child I am sure pretty soon this issue will be completely eradicated from our society.
