Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has assured an amendment in Tourist Trade Act to curb nuisance on the beaches and also ban the consumption of alcohol on the beaches, Calangute MLA Michael Lobo said.

Lobo spoke to Parrikar during the business advisory committee meeting at the Goa State Assembly.

“I have discussed with the CM to bring an amendment to the Tourist Trade Act. Since it is a small amendment, it can easily be done and it will enforce discipline along the coastal belt,” Lobo said.
