In a representation to Director General of Police Muktesh Chander, National Students Union of India (NSUI) state president Ahraz Mulla has advised that police control room vehicles should be manned by women police to deal with cases involving crime against women, and also demanded that all beaches and tourist places in the coastal state be adequately lit and CCTVs installed there.
“Ensure CCTVs and lights at all beaches and tourist locations… increase the number of PCR vehicles in Goa for patrolling every isolated places and ensure that police vehicles are manned by female police personnel,” Mulla said in his representation.
Chander assured the delegation of the NSUI, affiliated to the Congress, which met him on Monday that their demands will be looked into.
