Jagrut Canaconkaars have staged a hunger strike at Canacona municipality for not getting a solution to the garbage issue in Canacona.
“The Prime Minister’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan can never be fully successful as long as government officials and staff are not serious about it. The garbage issue is very critical but looks like the concerned authorities as well as the government is not bothered about our concerns,” members of Jagrut Canaconkars said.
The members of Jagrut Canaconkars blamed the Canacona municipality for not providing a solution to garbage issue and have warned of stricter action if the solution is not worked out promptly.
