role as a basketball player in Mohit Suri’s directed film half girlfriend after that I had some photoshoots also.

TNV: Why modelling when you could have settled in for a more stable permanent career?
AM: In this age, fashion has become a vast field and offers many opportunities. Modelling offers many opportunities in today’s time which makes it a stable career as well in movies, web series, advertisement, etc.

TNV: Tell us about your first assignment. if any How did it happen? What was the experience like?
AM: Being a college basketball player I was called for an audition for short movie role as a basketball player in Mohit Suri’s directed film half girlfriend this was my first experience which give me the motivation to carry forward in modelling too.later then i went to give apple advertising audition which built up my confidence.

TNV: What do you feel makes you a good model? Your face? Your body? Your attitude? As opposed to others?

which I gain through basketball practice and gymming make me different from others.

AM: This is one of the leading Mr India pageants. It reaches to a wide audience and gives a fair chance without any nepotism to the new faces across the country.

TNV: Did Mr. India just happen to you along the way – or were you preparing to take part in the pageant?
AM: No, I prepared very hard since last 18 months to be Mr India as 2 finalists were from Delhi university in 2018 motivate me that fair chances give to new faces in modelling (RUBURU MR INDIA) and I work really hard to become MR INDIA 2019.

TNV: Tell us about how you train for it. What is the regimen like? What are the challenges involved?
AM: I am a basketball player so, I have much more weight to use it in the match to push player using bodyweight but when I started modelling I have to lose weight which I did by losing about more than 15 kg to get the masculine shape with proper guidance, workout and diet. Balancing it with studies some times become difficult but my consistency of daily 2 hours workout and proper dieting become my only weapon to reach to this platform

TNV: What makes you feel you should be the chosen one? What’s different about you as a contestant?
AM: I am always ready to help and support a person who is in need if I am able to do that.My communication skill and being full  of values like honesty, righteousness, fairness and integrity which I gained by doing rigorous efforts in sports and academics. My love for India is my strength which never let me down to work harder daily to get the title Mr India.

TNV: How will winning the Mr. India pageant will going to affect your life?
AM: I would like to break the stereotype, Me being from a middle-class family in Haryana such platforms are not given much focus. If I win this, I’ll be able to inspire people around me to take up modelling as a career.

TNV: What are your views on ‘Save Girl Child Campaign’?
AM: I support the campaigns to SAVE GIRL CHILD as I belong to Haryana where the sex ratio is 830 girls for every 1000 boys which is a low bar. I witnessed an incident of female foeticide, as even today people consider a girl child to be a liability. I would like to aware people about the importance of educating a girl child. As they say, “If you educate a man, you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman, you educate a family. “by propagating awareness through this platform to the groundroot of society and promoting girls education.
