KAR: MINOR PROTEST AGAINST GOA GOVT IN MYSURU OVER DEMOLITION OF BAINA HUTMENTS

Mysuru (Karnataka) Mysuru Kannada Activists’ Association staged a protest against Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar over demolition of houses belonging to Kannadigas on Baina Beach in Vasco da Gama in Goa and Kalasa Banduri water dispute.

The activists staged a protest by hanging the effigy of Parrikar at the Law Court premises in the city on Wednesday.

The protesters shouted slogans against the Parrikar-led Goa government. They alleged that the Goa government has demolished more than 800 houses of Kannadigas since 2014. They urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to intervene on the issue and provide permanent houses for Kannadigas.

President of the association B A Shivashankar, S Gurushankar, Suresh, Sogahalli Tunga and others were present.
