Panaji (Goa) Karwar MLA Santeesh Sail who was summoned by the Crime Branch in connection with the illegal mining case today, skipped the summons.

Sail was supposed to be present before the investigating officer today at 11 a.m.but did not turn up.

A senior official said that the MLA has shown his inability to remain present before the investigating officer today. He will be issued another summons soon.

The Karnataka politician is wanted by Crime Branch in connection with the illegal mining case filed against his company Mallikarjun Shipping Private Limited.

The company was named in the MB Shah commission report.
