PISSURLEM
The officials of Revenue Intelligence today raided a factory in IDC Pissurlem. According to sources, Ketamine drugs (mainly used for starting and maintaining anaesthesia) has been seized, which is worth crores. The officials have avoided commenting anything on the case; however, it is known that the factory was on the radar.
The officials interrogated a youth from Calangute on suspicion. The intelligence team received a tip-off that factory could be involved in drugs. Sources also informed that despite political pressure, officers continued with their raid. Around 100 kg of Ketamine drugs which is worth Rs. 4 crore have been seized and the factory has been sealed.
Further investigation in the case is on. The owner of the factory mentioned that the factory was leased to another party.
