Panaji (Goa) Chairman of North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA) Michael Lobo today demanded legislation to ban sale of agriculture and orchard land to non-Goans.
Lobo said that government should come out with a legislation banning sale of agricultural and orchard land to non-Goans, with some serious penalties’ for violators.
“25 years domicile certificate from competent authority should be made mandatory for sale of such land to ensure that only Goans purchase such land,” he said.
