The Congress on Monday accused the BJP-led coalition government of trying to interfere into a CBI probe recommended by state Lokayukta in an alleged tablet-PC procurement scam, which happened 2013.
State Congress president Girish Chodankar said that Goa Lokayukta PK Mishra recommending CBI probe only means that the anti-corruption institution does not trust state government’s anti-corruption agencies.
“By recommending a CBI probe into the fraudulent tablet-PC procurement, Goa Lokayukta has indicated that they do not trust state anti-corruption agencies,” Chodankar said.
