Pune: Controllerate of Quality Assurance (Special Vehicles), Dehu Road, Pune is a unit under Directorate General of Quality Assurance (DGQA), Ministry of Defence, New Delhi. DGQA is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee in 2017. To commemorate the occasion DGQA has planned various technical, social welfare and adventure activities as part of its Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. Theme this year is to make local industry aware for creating ‘Defence Business’ in their portfolio through ‘Make in India’. Industry is being encouraged to register as Defence Suppliers and how DGQA can assist in venturing them into Nation Building as a strategic partner for Indian Armed Forces.
The culmination of the celebrations will be done with a cycle rally being conducted under the aegis of Maj Gen S S Chadha, ADGQA (V) on 12 Sep 2017. ‘EX NATURE TRAIL ON BICYCLES’ will be flagged off by the Chief Guest Lt Gen Shamsher Singh, DGQA at Peacock Bay, NDA. More than 50 cyclists will pedal from Peacock Bay to Lavasa. Participants from across the nation will be participating in the rally.
The QAWWA (Quality Assurance Wives Welfare Association) will also be organising visit to orphanages and old age homes to donate them through contributions by all members.
