PUNE: Gold ornaments worth Rs 12 lakh were stolen by unidentified person from a flat in Jashnmahal society on Mangaldas road on Thursday.

According to information given by Koregaon park police, the incident came to light at around 6 pm. Police official said that one Vasudeo Methani informed police that gold ornaments were stolen from his home.

Senior police inspector Rajendra Patil of Koregaon park police station said that gold ornaments costing around Rs 12 lakh were stolen. “We are in the process of collecting more details about the case,” added Patil.

Koregaon police were yet to lodge a case till Thursday evening.
