PUNE: A labourer died due to suffocation and three were injured after they got stuck in heap of soil during a construction work in Kondhwa on Friday morning.
The incident occurred at a under construction site near Dorabji mall in Kondhwa.
Police sub inspector Sunil Jaddale of Kondhwa police station said that the deceased is been identified as Mohammad Ikbal Alam (22) who hails from Bihar, and was currently staying in Kondhwa.
“The workers were working near the site when the four persons failed to judge the soil near the construction site and slipped in the heap of soil. Ikbal got stuck in it and died due to suffocation and the other three workers suffered minor injuries. We are investigating the case,” added Jagdale.
